You may have noticed a lack of Social Studies in your life for the past few months. That's because we've been busy writing new material and working on our new album...more about that later. In the meantime, you can come out to Hemlock Tavern on February 2nd to hear the new songs! We're also heading back into the studio at the end of January to finish recording and we're gearing up for SXSW where we will be playing the Bay Area Takeover showcase, with a bunch of other great local bands!

Our tour was a complete success! We met a ton of awesome people, played with a bunch of great bands, saw parts of Montana that we didn't even know existed, got lost in a Walmart the size of Chicago, shotgunned beers in a Eugene cemetary, and fulfilled our lifelong dream of feeding apples to horses. Thank you to everyone who attended our shows, let us crash on their couches and floors, play with their light sabers, drove us to after hour speakeasys, and made our tour a total blast! We can't wait to do it again.
5.10.07.......................WE'RE HITTING THE ROAD
After a recent batch of successful shows, we're ready to take our act on the road. For the past couple weeks, we've been gearing up for our Northwest tour and we'll be heading out on May 18th. If you live up north or you have friends there who would love to see us, check our upcoming shows and come out! For our loving local fans, our next show will be on May 31st at Rickshaw Stop. That will also be the FIRST TIME you can buy an original Social Studies T-SHIRT!!!

2.24.07.......................It's the season of releases! We're playing a bunch of our friends' record release shows, and we couldn't be more excited. On March 22nd, we'll be playing with Death of a Party and Black Ice, who are releasing their record at The Eagle Tavern. On March 30th, we're heading over to the East Bay to play at The Uptown with Dreamdate for their CD release, and on May 4th, we'll be supporting Thee More Shallows for their Cafe Du Nord release show. So much great music! We can't wait!
2.18.07.......................We've started recording new music for a full length (to be released sometime in the far future. The recordings are sounding great and we can't wait to start mixing them.
1.9.07:::::::::::::::::::::::::: Happy new year! We've got a ton of shows in the works, so check our show page often! In the meantime, save the date for January 26th, when we will be headlining Bottom of the Hill with Magic Bullets and Pants Pants Pants.
